How Shapeshift works
Shapeshift is a modern falling-block game. Pieces use familiar stacker rules, but each cell is rendered as a realistic mushroom brick with bevels, damp highlights, gills, fibers, and soil contact shadows.
Clears charge spores. When the meter is ready, shapeshift turns the active piece into a deterministic alternate shape if it fits. Strong runs combine ghost placement, hold, fast drops, wall kicks, and carefully timed shapeshifts.
Best score, settings, daily seed state, and recent run summaries persist locally now and are routed through API hooks when the Shapeshift backend is available.
