How mushrooms works
mushrooms is a segmented garden shooter. You control the lower garden, fire upward through a dense mushroom field, and break apart Sporewyrms before they descend into your lane.
Each segment you hit changes the shape of the threat. Mushrooms redirect movement, stained mushrooms can make a Sporewyrm dive sooner, and focus mode slows the action briefly so you can thread shots through crowded lanes. Strong play is about shaping the field, not simply holding fire.
Best score is stored locally in the browser. The game is playable without an account and does not upload run history.

What does focus do?
Focus briefly slows the action so you can reposition or line up a shot through the mushroom field. It is most valuable when a Sporewyrm is already near the lower garden.
Why do some enemies dive suddenly?
The mushroom field changes enemy movement. Stained or disrupted mushrooms can create faster descents, so clearing paths has both offensive and defensive consequences.
Does the game need a network connection?
The game files load from the site and then run in the browser. Scores and preferences stay local.
