How neonattack works

neonattack is a compact wave-defense arcade game about holding a digital grid under pressure. Drones enter in waves, the shield can absorb only a limited number of hits, and the score comes from clearing threats before the grid integrity collapses.

The main rhythm is movement, firing, and timing the pulse blast. Standard shots handle single drones, auto fire helps when a wave spreads across the screen, and pulse is the emergency tool for crowded moments. Powerups are deliberately short-lived so the best strategy is to collect them when they create space, not simply whenever they appear.

The status counters show the run at a glance: combo tracks the current scoring multiplier, rapid and beam count down active weapon upgrades, shields reports the remaining shield reserve, and charge shows when pulse is ready.

Scores are stored locally in this browser. No account is needed, and a new run starts cleanly each time you relaunch the game.

Powerups and prizes

Drop or prizeCounterWhat it does
RapidRapid timerLasts 8 seconds and cuts the firing cooldown from 0.18 seconds to 0.09 seconds.
BeamBeam timerLasts 7 seconds and turns each shot into a three-beam spread, with each beam dealing extra damage.
RepairIntegrityRestores one integrity point up to a maximum of 5, useful after a drone or enemy shot breaks through.
ChargeChargeInstantly fills the pulse meter. Pulse clears enemy bullets, damages every drone on screen, and hits bosses harder.
Pickup bonusScoreEvery collected powerup adds 100 points, even when the main effect is already active.
Combo prizeComboConsecutive drone kills keep the combo alive for 1.7 seconds. Every 8 kills raises the score multiplier, capped at x5.
Wave clear bonusWave and scoreClearing a wave awards 250 points plus 50 points for the next wave, and restores part of the pulse charge.
Boss prizeScoreEvery fourth wave launches a boss. Defeating it awards 1,500 points plus 120 points for the current wave.
Shield reserveShieldsShows the percentage of destructible shield cells still available across all shield blocks.

FAQ

How do waves get harder?

Later waves increase pressure by combining more enemies, faster approaches, and tighter recovery windows. The game is designed around short runs where each wave asks for quicker positioning.

What does shield integrity mean?

Integrity is the number of serious hits the grid can survive. When it reaches zero, the run ends and the local best score is updated if you beat it.

Do scores sync across devices?

No. Best scores are saved in local browser storage on the current device only.
