Zoomdefence is a fast browser arcade shooter about protecting drifting colonists from waves of hostile craft. The playfield wraps horizontally, threats arrive in escalating formations, and the score rewards rescuing vulnerable targets while staying alive under pressure.
The key systems are thrust, rescue timing, smart bombs, and hyperspace. Thrust gives precise movement but can also carry you into danger, smart bombs clear the screen when a wave becomes unmanageable, and hyperspace is a risky escape when there is no clean route. Auto fire helps on touch devices, but positioning still matters more than volume.
Progress and scores are local to this browser. The page uses standard Canvas/WebGL-era browser APIs through Phaser and does not require an account.
| Action | Desktop | Touch |
|---|---|---|
| Move | Arrow keys or thrust controls | Drag the slider, then use up/down buttons |
| Fire | Keyboard fire control | Auto Fire button |
| Smart bomb | Bomb key | Bomb button |
| Hyperspace | Hyper key | Hyper button |
Use a smart bomb when several threats are already converging or when a rescue path is blocked. Saving every bomb for later usually costs more lives than it saves.
No. Hyperspace is an emergency repositioning tool. It can save a run, but it is intentionally less predictable than flying out of danger yourself.
