Frequently asked questions
Does this calculator follow the standard order of operations?
Yes — multiplication and division are applied before addition and subtraction, the same convention used by every physical calculator and spreadsheet. There's no parenthesis support in the standard calculator specifically; for expressions with parentheses, use the Scientific calculator instead.
How do the memory buttons (MC, MR, M+, M-) work?
M+ adds the number currently on the display to memory, M- subtracts it, MR recalls whatever is stored in memory back onto the display, and MC clears memory to zero. Memory persists across calculations until you clear it or close the page.
Can I use my keyboard instead of clicking the buttons?
Yes — digits, +, -, *, /, Enter (equals), Backspace, and Escape (clear) all work from a physical keyboard.
Is anything I type sent anywhere?
No. This calculator runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is transmitted, logged, or stored anywhere.
